Compact MiniMap offers high performance and stability

MiniMap compact pressure transmitter from Gems Sensors, is specially designed for installation where space is at a premium. From 25mm long, the transmitter features a sputtered thin film sensor to provide consistent high levels of performance and stability for large volume users. As these thin film sensors are atomically bonded onto metal substrate, the transmitter virtually eliminates drift – whilst offering enhanced sensitivity.

The MiniMap offers a proof pressure of 3 x FS, and enables sensors to survive the most severe pressure spikes. In fact, the units are subjected to rigorous hardness: leak, pressure, thermal cycling and aging tests to ensure the transmitters will resist both pressure shocks and mechanical vibration.

The MiniMap is supplied in range from 6 to 2200 bar but with the onboard ASIC can be set to any intermediate range or engineering unit and has a very long fatigue life - offering more than 100,000000 cycles. A wide choice of electrical outputs, as well as both electrical and pressure connections, means the unit is suitable for most applications without modification.

Ball Float Drain Traps

Pennant offers Auto Drain Traps for removing accumulated condensate automatically from compressed air systems. These are reliable auto drains which work on the principle of buoyancy and hence do not depend on electrical power. There is no wastage of compressed air when condensate is not accumulated as in electrically operated auto drains.

Features includes: Cast steel/CI housings, Stainless steel internals, Heavy duty and rugged construction suitable for rough and dusty conditions with a high pressure rating upto 16 kg/cm2 (g) and discharge rate of max. 1600 kg/hr. Available in sizes of ½” to 1" connections are female screwed/socket weld/flanged for horizontal installation. Vertical installation traps can also be supplied against special request, as well as guidance is provided on the correct selection and use of steam traps/valves. Typical applications include air receivers, air driers, after coolers, heat exchangers, etc.

Check Valves from Fluidline

Check valves are single direction flow valves used to allow unlimited flow in one direction only. Swing check valves are straight-through flow valves which rotates on a pin contained in the upper portion of the valve. The disc swings away from the seat upon exertion of fluid pressure on the upstream side. When the flow direction reverses, the reversal pressure and the weight of the disc close the disc against the seat, stopping backflow.

Swing check valves are best suited for moderate velocity applications. Either too low or too high a line velocity can seriously damage the valve’s internal parts. Valve damage can also be caused by rapid and frequent flow reversals, pusation or excessive turbulence.

Pressure seal bonnet check valves major difference is in the bonnet design. The pressure seal bonnet joint eliminates the body/bonnet flanges reducing weight and simplifying the application of exterior insulation. Contrary to bolted bonnet valves, internal pressure applied to a pressure seal valve forces the sealing elements into tighter contact the higher the internal pressure, the tighter the seal.

All Fluidline Check valves have the following special features:

* Cap lifting eye for easier maintenance (larger sizes)
* Rugged hinge to withstand shock loading
* Precision solid disc pin. Easily removed through body side wall
* Smooth inlet contour
* Threaded seat ring generous cross section
* Metallic gaskets
* Positives stop of disc open position
* pinned disc nut
