The focus of the journal is to provide technical
and engineering updates on processes, operations and equipment
for all chemical process industries such as : refineries,
petrochemicals, fertilizers, pesticides and agrochemicals,
speciality chemicals, perfumery chemicals, dyes and dye intermediates,
chlor alkali, paints and coatings etc.
Chemical Industry Digest, therefore
carries technical papers, in each issue, relevant to the above
areas and industry segments. Technical papers covered also
include design, operation and maintenance of equipment, software
and CAD articles on new developments in project management
and project construction, revamp, etc. Chemical Industry Digest
also publishes several features in each issue such as News,

| The
first issue of Chemical Industry Digest was published in March
1988 as a quarterly and ever since Chemical Industry Digest
has been published uninterrupted. In 1999 Chemical Industry
Digest became a bimonthly. From April '04 onwards Chemical Industry
Digest is a monthly. A subscriber gets 12 issues of Chemical
industry Digest during the course of 12 months. The issues are
dated : Jan, Feb, March, April, etc and are released in the
latter half of each month.
Chemical Industry Digest is read by
engineers and technical personnel from top management to shop
floor level in all functional areas like production, maintenance,
purchase, environment and safety, instrumentation etc, and
scientists in R&D, quality control, etc. Apart from the
readers in chemical industry segments mentioned above, Chemical
Industry Digest is widely read in chemical plant & equipment,
including pumps, valves and instrumentation and consultancy
engineering companies, R&D organisations and industry
associations.
